Kita and Progress!

Wow a journal. Haven't written one of these in a while.
The whole format of this has changed completely...let's see how it goes.

Okay so I'll be going to Kita-con at the end of March and I have a lot of new stuff for that!

So far most of my costumes are still works in progress but I'm hoping to start work on my first costume I'm making from scratch very soon.
That one will be Hakuryuu from Magi. I've already done a makeup test for that using liquid latex for the scar.

It's my first time using this kind of special effects makeup and it really was a lot of fun to use. It didn't irritate my skin at all and I could leave it on my face for a few hours without it bothering me at all.

I'll also be doing Noiz from DRAMAtical Murder with a group of special babbus. My housemate oOForgetfulOo is in the progress of making Tae. Yes. Grandma Tae. She used some of my rigid collodion to give herself wrinkles and just look at this!

The costume is due to arrive in the next week or so. I had to have the commissioner alter the colours for me. I hope they're able to do that.

I'll also be cosplaying Bertholdt and Hanji from Attack on Titan. I've since got a new wig for Hanji. It's really nice and everything, but it needs styling. Same goes for Bert too but I've been working on hacking up and recycling one I didn't need. Considering I'm pretty much broke, saving money by recycling wigs is always good.
The straps of the 3DM gear were a nightmare at October expo so if I have time I'll attempt to do something about it.

I'm also gonna be going to Japan Expo in Paris in July with Isamiaella, XEmma321X  and Gendooooo. First actual holiday with friends!
Haven't really planned anything to cosplay aside from Hanji. We'll figure something out!

So yeeeeeah~ that's that!

More progress!

So aside from not doing revision for my finals, I've been being busy with cosplay stuff. As per usual.
Expo is just around the corner, and here I am, watching as people post on the MCM Facebook group, asking people what cosplay they should do.
I've been planning/working on these for months! Hell, I started gathering things for Kaworu last year and I started prep for Kuroh in January or something.
Talk about last minute.
Still, I guess I just over plan whereas others just...don't? Haha.

I'm gonna share an Inga preview with you today :3





BernieBear is currently working on making the trouser legs shorter coz even with my 2 inch platforms, it was still scraping over the ground XD
I had to stick down the edges of the keyhole with double sided tape. That's gonna be fun to have on my skin at expo~ ClaptrapZak still has my body paint from Hyper Japan so I wasn't able to do a test with that but ohwell.

Kaworu for Saturday is done, as you can see~ I'm pretty pleased with the outcome.

If Eve falls through again, I'm gonna do a different version of Nezumi with Elzepel as Sion.

Aaaand I've booked photoshoots for every day except Friday as Charny might not be able to come down to see all the K shenanigans. She's a god at photoshop, jesus christ <3

Still, it's all looking pretty good. Rossmonster has my Kuroh coat but AiruSama is planning on bringing it to me on my birthday.

Planning on hanging out with many many friends :3 The next few weeks are looking pretty good from here, which is great considering I've had a really rough few months, what with uni and family issues.
I'm pulling through thank god.

If you haven't already, please like my Facebook page. I'm pretty much always on Facebook now and I'm trying to share stuff as frequently as I can.

Also, I'm going to try and get to Japan Expo in Paris for one of the days. Depends on what day I get off work and whose floor I can sleep on. I know plenty of people who're going so it shouldn't be too hard finding lodgings for the night.
But all in good time, I'll try and keep this page up to date with happenings.

Not sure what the next update will be. Most likely a bigass expo announcement with pictures and stuff so you guys know who to look for~!

Expo is fast approaching

Uwaaahhhh it's only a few more weeks.
I'm so exciteddddd~

My cosplays are so close to completion. I can't wait!

Kuroh has been downsized and Rossmonster is working on the sword for me.
Kaworu is complete~
Inga is practically complete. BernieBear is shortening the trousers for me and the shoes need a bit of work done but aside from that, it's pretty much done.
Still no news on Eve ;-; I'm hoping it gets done in time, especially now Elzepel has agreed to be my Sion again, getting a new wig and cardigan and all. If I don't get the dress, I will be rewearing Nezumi, probably doing the artbook/manga version. But we'll see how things go.
